kyvl.org is an online source for up-to-date magazines and scholarly articles and abstracts. Whether you are a student or teacher from Kindergarten through College you can come here for resources. KYVL has easy to use tutorials to help you learn how to research and to use their databases.
Gale Virtual Reference Library
Another great online resource for reference materials, Gale Virtual Reference library features a large selection of accurate and authoritative reference content in e-book form, easily searchable by subject.
NewsBank
NewsBank provides Web-based access to tens of millions of articles and video clips from local, state, regional, national and international newspapers and other news sources. So you can use it to search the McCreary County Record (8/13/08-Current) as well as America’s Major News Magazines such as Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report, Fortune, and Foreign Affairs. Search current and archived coverage of issues, events, people, government, sports and more with the largest collection of full-text U.S. newspapers. Includes staff-written articles, obituaries, editorials, announcements, real estate and other sections. Also, be sure to view this video of the Special Reports that are available with America's News and cover current topics of interest which are updated daily and monthly. It is a great spot for students to find information on current events, videos, images, and educational websites.
World Book Online Reference Center
The World Book Encyclopedia can take up a whole shelf at the library, but it is now available online for library members. Access up-to-date research information, pictures, maps and more, whenever and wherever you need it.
