Today was our 2nd Play with Purpose Play Group and it was AMAZING!!!
Today the families received a cuddly dog toy and the book Go Dog Go. We talked about the importance of reading daily and setting a routine of reading in our homes. Mrs. Holly taught the parents how to bring the story to life and be interactive with it.
Mrs. Holly read “5 Little Puppies Jumping on the Bed” while reading we talked about colors, counted, and even sang the body part song with our puppies. We finished by using our fine motor skills to paint our own paper puppy
Each week will be filled with parent/guardian and child activities and Mrs. Holly will help reinforce play, senses, reading and development skills.
Each week the families will get a new book and toy to help reinforce the that weeks skill from rhyming, imaginative play, emotions, self-help skills, fine motor skills, and early math.
This program is currently FULL but be watching for more school readiness programs in the next few months.
