McCreary County Public Library is thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to our public computer center, made possible by a Special Projects Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA). This grant enabled the acquisition of new computers designed to support workforce development and educational initiatives.
The newly installed computers are equipped with direct links to a variety of employment and educational resources, facilitating access to job search platforms, GED preparation materials, and skill building programs. Each workstation features a larger screen and a large-print keyboard, ensuring enhanced visual accessibility for all patrons. These improvements align with our commitment to providing equitable access to technology and information, empowering individuals to pursue educational and career opportunities.
We encourage the community to visit the library to explore the newly upgraded computer center and take advantage of the resources available. Whether seeking employment, preparing for the GED, considering college, or acquiring new skills, the library is here to support your journey!
