Computer Availability
As part of The McCreary County Public Library's mission is to provide "technological resources for the educational needs of the people in its service area" your library is proud to be able to make computers, equipped with current programs and internet access available to everyone. The computers are free to use, just see the attendant for a password. Print outs in both color and black & white are available for a fee.

Kids! Computers
There are also computers with programs geared especially to children, with no internet access to provide a safe environment for play. Visit our Kids! page to find out more.

We are pleased to be able to provide computers for your use.  However, please be aware that the library computers are for the use of all ages and will be monitored to insure that computer use is consistent with McCreary Public Library policy.  The library’s computers and internet access may not be used to:
 

  • Violate the law
  • Visit chat rooms
  • Send, receive, or display text or graphics that may reasonably be construed as inappropriate or obscene
  • Harm or compromise the safety, security, privacy or property of others
  • Seek unauthorized access to any computer system
  • Alter or damage software components of any network, host server, or database
  • Install software of any kind or download plug-ins


As part of the log-in process, customers agree to abide by these policies and understand that failure to do so will result in the loss of computer and internet privileges.

Wireless Access
The library has wireless access so visitors can use their own technology.
